Small bathroom interior design simple | how to decorate your bathroom

Hi sweet friends welcome to my new blog today we're going to head upstairs to our Hall b/g guest bathroom

I want to just redecorate and refresh the space I know sometimes it's kind of difficult call to get ideas for decorating our bathrooms not a lot of information is out there and so I hope that my ideas are helpful

Now I will be using some new Decor finds that I picked up just recently from Walmart as well as Amazon and some other places if you did happen to miss my what's new at Walmart shop with me I'll go ahead and leave that linked here at the

well let's go ahead and head upstairs and do some decorating I hope you Before enjoy here you're getting your first look at the bathroom before we get Started decorating today I'm excited to bring in some fresh new pieces in combination with some old Decor to help brighten up the space and also help to tie it together with the rest of the rooms in our home although this shower curtain is fairly neutral the pattern just doesn't Vibe well with the striped rug that I'll be bringing into the space so I'm going to go ahead and swap it out for another one that coordinates better

New Shower Curtain

here is the new shower curtain that I got I did want it to be more full so I did go ahead and get 108 in compared to the standard 72 in now if you're wanting to make a more dramatic look you can definitely make your length go clear to the ceiling now for mine I just didn't want to go there because I think my shower curtain actually left a little bit or pulled a little bit of the paint off and so I just didn't want to have to deal with that so as you can see you can get 884 in length as well as 96 but I'm going with just a more full but still shorter look and then here is

the color that I chose just a very neutral but it kind of has a very linen like feel I think it looks very high-end so I love it and just to make sure it doesn't have any wrinkles I think what I'll do is pop it into the dryer with a wet microfiber cloth and just let that dry for about 10 minutes and then we'll go ahead and hang it while we wait on the shower curtain

Farmhouse Light

we'll go ahead and get started upstairs so this light actually came with Globes these glass globes and I never did use them I wanted it to look more Farmhouse and so now I want to just change it up to make it look like a different style of light without having to change a thing just add the gloves that it actually came with so I'm going to get these bulbs down because they are a little bit too long they stick down so I'm going to replace the bulb with a shorter one and then put these on for a different look

is this gorgeous watercore piece it has a brushed gold frame that looks a little bit hammered and I love decorating with hydranges in the spring and summer now this may actually be a rose but in any case I love the white flowers and it just gives a sense of Timeless Elegance to the space moving over to the floating shelves I'm going to start by decorating with these gorgeous stackable boxes that I picked up from HomeGoods now decorative boxes are a versatile and stylish way to add storage and personality to your bathroom you can use them to store cotton swabs rounds and makeup pads you could even add small travel siiz toiletries for guests and hair accessories like headbands bobby pins and hair ties next

I'm adding a couple of small Vas P es both in colors that relate back to the wall art keeping the accessories small will prevent the shelves from looking too cluttered and busy and Greenery is always a good idea whether that be real or faux options they instantly add life and color to your bathroom I like adding just a little sprig of greenery that Trails over the side

Landscape Canvas

to add interest and to draw your eye upwards I'm adding a small landscape canvas next I have this wooden Cube that I found from Hobby Lobby that has several awesome sayings on it I chose to display the one that says faith can move mountains since it relates back to the canvas print then to finish up the vignette I'm adding a small plant in front from Target in keeping with the design roll that decorating an objects of Threes is more pleasing to the eye

Toilet Paper

instantly adds lots of texture and warmth to the space not to mention it adds even more storage for functional items like toilet paper to the center cubby I'll be adding a little bit of greenery with this faux plant that came from Ikea and then I want to share with you ways to dress up your toilet paper so that guests feel like they're staying in a luxury hotel since I am going with a flower theme I thought this folding of toilet paper was absolutely adorable and super easy first you'll want to unroll

The toilet paper leaving out five sections then you'll gather the toilet paper on both ends taking your index finger and middle finger you're going to wrap the toilet paper around your fingers coiling it around until only one section is left with that remaining end piece you're going to create a loop sticking it in the hole where you just removed your finger pulling it out to the front adust adjust and allow the flower to drape to the front and voila you have an adorable looking toilet paper roll to impress your guests

Shower Rings

already have I just reordered them to add to them because I need six more the fullness of the shower curtain requires 18 rather than the typical 12 so I just reordered another set I love these because you can hang your liner on this side and then your shower curtain on this side with which makes it super convenient when you're changing out the pieces to get them washed and such so we'll get probably three on one side and then three on the other to hang this up once it's nice and wrinkle free

Planter

to this tree stump accent table that I got from Wayfair I'm adding a spa-like feel by adding the very popular Walmart planter now I love its fluted detail and then to create a high-end looking piece for a fraction of the cost all I did was stuff the bottom of the planter with some plastic bags and then add some green moss another way to easily add color and

Rug

pattern to a room is to add a small rug now I found this one at Walmart and I loved its stripe detail I thought it went very well with the dovetail color from Sherwin Williams that is on our Cabinetry as well as it complement the colors that are in the artwork which is basically the inspiration for the whole look of the room now we can move on to styling the vanity top I don't want it to look too cluttered so I'm only going to be adding a couple of candlestick holders that came from TJ Max along with

some vanilla scented candles and then I'm bringing back in a trunk box that holds all of my daughter Elena's face washes and lotions so that it's nice and tidy when she gets done using these things for a cohesive design I like to repeat a design element three times within the room I'm bringing in a fluted detail and this is the third time I did it in the planter the candlesticks and now the soap pump so this is just going to give you a more designer look and feel as I've mentioned several times in

Vessel

and finally to finish up on this side of the vanity how could I resist displaying a beautiful vessel from Hobby Lobby filled with some gorgeous hydranges and finally to finish up I'll add one of my favorite everyday hand towels and call today's bathroom redecorating and refresh
